English Football- Chelsea Defeats Tottenham and Leads Premier League
After six consecutive victories, Chelsea FC has managed to place itself temporarily at the head of the English Premier League with a total of 18 points. The most recent victory was against the Tottenham Hotspur; Chelsea crushed the team with a 3-0 game.
With the win, the Blues have surpassed Manchester United in the standings. Manchester lounges in second place, even though the team defeated Manchester City 4-3 –-not enough to climb to the top of English football standings.
Chelsea, led by Carlo Ancelotti, is completely focused on improving their level of play. Their performance this season is clear evidence of their dedication; their determination despite difficult opponents has made their goal - a championship in the English Premier League - a distinct possibility.
The Chelsea players were able to take control of the ball from the beginning of the match, leaving the Hotspur to offer a defense. And the Lyliwhites seemed successful; that is, until minute 32, when Ashley Cole, a Chelsea defender, headed a shot that sent it deep into the Hotspur’s goal, opening the score in favor of Chelsea.
From that moment on, Chelsea redoubled its efforts, seeking in attack after attack another goal. However, Tottenham was able to hold off until the end of the first half.
In the second half, the West Londoners were still in control of the ball, and in minute 58, the team scored again. Didier Drogba missed a shot but German midfielder Michael Ballack appeared to add the second point.
As the match progressed, the emotion and pressure increased play after play. Tottenham remained in a defensive position while Chelsea imposed offensively, making clear their desire to increase the score.
At minute 63, striker Drogba made another attempt, dodging the defense posed by Vedran Corluka and launching an accurate shot that became the third goal in the game. After that, the Tottenham Hotspur could do nothing but alert themselves and defend even more strongly to avoid increasing the gap in the score.
The end of the match left Chelsea ahead 3-0. The players took the opportunity to celebrate the victory, which consolidated the home team’s position as the leaders in the standings.
Tottenham was unable to open the score, exposing the team’s weaknesses and their irregularity of play.
The defeat leaves Tottenham with two losses -the first against the Red Devils 3-1 - and a descent to sixth place in the overall standings of the Premier League. The possibility of attaining a league title grows ever more distant for the team.

But Marie Osmond , long evening dresses one of America's longest-reigning showbiz princesses, has tied the knot—er, make that, retied the knot—with her first ex-husband, former semi-pro basketball player turned motivational speaker Stephen Craig , in Las Vegas today.
So that's her "something old" sorted.
"I am so happy and look forward to sharing my life with Stephen, who is an amazing man as well as a great father to my children," Osmond said in a statement.
The ceremony—incidentally held today to mark both the birthday of Marie's late son Michael and her mother Olive —marked the third trip down the aisle for Osmond (and her second with Craig!).
This time around, the duo swapped vows in a private ceremony at the Las Vegas Mormon temple, cheap wedding dress cheap wedding dress with a reception at their nearby Nevada home.

In both a romantic turn (and an impressive admission that she still fits into it), Osmond wore the same Ret Turner dress she did the first time the duo wed.
As for her famously close family, it's no surprise that brother Donny Osmond was among the guests.
"This was a last minute thing," he told ET. "Not very many people knew about it. Marie told me so I had to keep it very quiet. She wanted it simple and that's what it was. There will be a big family event back in Utah."
The 51-year-old bride first married the 54-year-old Craig back in 1982, when they were just 22 and 25, respectively. The marriage lasted just three years, as they divorced in 1985 and produced one son plus size dresses , the now 28-year-old Stephen .
And Donny, for one, is keen to welcome Craig back into the family fold.
"I was hoping Steve would be my brother-in-law again," he said. "Steve has always been a very special part of Marie's heart. It was a perfect Cinderella story with a fairytale ending. They were sealed together again, forever."
As for husband No. 2, the singing superstar was quick to rush down the aisle after her divorce from Craig, tying the knot with music producer Brian Blosil in 1986. They divorced in 2007 and had seven children together.
However, Craig and Osmond remained close (uh, obviously) since their divorce. It's unclear when the duo rekindled their romance. But here's hoping the third time really is the charm.
