It is good to begin searching for a cosmetic surgeon by asking from referrals, but remember to use what you learn only as a starting point for your own research. It might not be the best idea to ask for a referral from your family doctor, as they are not professional researchers. Ask friends who were satisfied with their results, but keep in mind that what they thought of as great might not be right for you. The best person to start with is probably your cosmetologist. Since they are in the business of appearance, they have most likely seen the work of many different plastic surgeons, and have a decent understanding of what is high and low quality. Another place to begin is the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, which certifies surgeons working exclusively in facial and reconstructive surgery. To cast a wider net, do not be afraid to use the Internet, the Yellow Pages, or a professional network.
Once you have a few names, go to each surgeon and have a conversation. Do not be intimidated and do not feel obligated to choose them. This is your body, not theirs. Tell your candidate exactly what your concerns are, and find out how they can be fixed. Ask for specifics on what will happen during the operation, what the side effects/dangers could be, and how long the recovery process will take. Make sure you know what the financial costs will be, and find out fi your insurance covers the operation.
While you are conducting the interview, you should take some time to find out what your doctor’s experience is. You need to know how good they are at what you need. Ask to see before and after pictures of people with your specific problem. If the doctor can not fulfill your request, it is probably best for you to move on. It is very important for you to have evidence of your surgeon’s work, as their “on paper” information can only prove their ability to a certain extent. If you feel uneasy about the surgeon after conducting the interview and seeing the photographs, ask if they can provide references. Speaking to past patients can alleviate some of your concerns.

MANILA, Philippines -- The fashion world has been abuzz, locally and internationally with various events in the past weeks. The world finally witnessed the much-anticipated wedding gown of Kate Middleton, now the duchess of Cambridge. And with the ongoing Philippine fashion week, the local scene was in the limelight with new and veteran designers.
In line with Filipino designers’ creativity, I just had to share with everyone how I have come to firmly believe that Kate Middleton’s wedding gown was inspired by an unknown Filipino designer dating back to the ’70s! It may sound like an obnoxious and absurd claim on my part but I have proof!
Kidding aside bridesmaid dress Beach Wedding Dresses Beach Wedding Dresses, when my friend showed me the wedding photos of her parents I couldn’ evening wear dresses t help but gasp. My friend Marvie Lim, shortly after the royal wedding, showed me the wedding photo of her mother Virginia Pe Young. As you can see, the details of the neckline, material used and even the silhouette of the entire gown is almost identical!
Hence, can you blame me for spreading a bit more of our Filipino fashion pride? I didn’t think so. Kate Middleton’s Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen gown has been foretold by a local designer nearly four decades ago. So I guess it’s been long overdue that we flex some fashion muscle around the world.
Speaking about flexing fashion muscle, I was fortunate to have been invited to the showcase of designers in fashion week, namely KristelYulo, Michele Sison strapless prom dress , Philipp Tampus party dresses party dresses flower girl dress , Ralph Ng, and Roland Lirio.
KristelYulo’s romantic collection with bold characteristics was mesmerizing. She showed her creativity and capacity as a designer to go above and beyond the signature styles of designers commonly followed by the trend of fashion world.
Michelle Sison’s collection was an embodiment of her person: Fun, edgy and intriguing. Aside from her designs, it was also the way her collection was presented which caught everyone’s attention. From peacock feathers to celebrity models, she made sure everyone’s eyes were glued to the runaway. Celebrities like IyaVillana, Tim Yap, Nikki Gil, Carla Abellana carried her creation with a star attitude it deserves.
From a roster of celebrities and seasoned models, one particular face stood out: our very own Filipina supermodel, DanicaMagpantay, the 2010 Ford Model’s Supermodel of the World Grand Prize Winner, graced the runway with her striking expression and statuesque figure, sexy cheap dresses sexy cheap dresses strutting the finale of many designers.
With a creative force like Joey Espino Jr. leading the fashion week, no doubt that it was another milestone for our fashion industry in taking that crucial step forward to being first recognized by fellow Filipinos. As witnessed by everyone present in fashion week, our country has unveiled talent of many and proven that Manila has indeed become a place for world-class designers and brands.
